wheelchair

Everyone's experience, when in a wheelchair can vary greatly but being in one does not mean someone is incapable of doing things individuals who walk do. People in wheelchairs can work just like anyone else, go to school, play sports and have fun with friends and family! Remember that, they can do fine by themselves and it doesnt matter how much limitations ones body has motion wise everyone is still here to enjoy life.

And REMEMBER: people who use wheelchairs have feelings too. Just as any other individual, they feel happiness, sadness; excitement and hurt. If somebody pokes fun or treats them differently simply because they use a wheelchair, it can be very upsetting. So everyone everywhere needs to be treated respectfully and kindly, no matter how they travel.

The Freedom and Limitations of a Mobility Aid

A wheelchair likely provides someone much needed mobility to get around and take care of things they otherwise could not do without. For each, they can breathe fresh air and access ramps or elevators to move from one level to another (since chair confined people will have difficulty reaching high places without standing). It gives them the freedom to be able to do so many things and also spend quality time with others.

But of course, wheelchairs too have their limitations which can be troublesome. They tend to be heavy, and difficult to push through uneven or rocky terrain. This can make access a little more difficult in some locations. Just imagine, wheelchairs make it difficult to go up stairs or rocky terrain; they take the fun out of climbing trees etc.
